"In 2021, frost wiped out a high percentage of the grapes, especially the Chardonnay, which sprouts early. The very few grapes from the Chalasses Vieilles Vignes and other old vines were put together into a single cuvée, similar to what they had to do in 2017 for the same reasons. So, there is a potential 2021 Les Survivants. The profile of the 2021 whites is serious and austere, with low alcohol. This is around 11%, with notable acidity, and it's sharp and effervescent with minerality and light to medium-bodied. It's a clean, delineated and incisive Chardonnay."
