This immmense Cote du Jura Blanc, is 100% Chardonnay from vines planted on limestone in 1986. Following whole cluster fermentation, the wine is then aged in old demi-muids on fine lees for 48months without any batonnage. The result is a wine of great elegance: the opening is on ripe white fruit — Kaiser pear, golden apple, white peach — with shades of sweet spices, dried flowers and a subtle note of fresh butter and toasted hazelnut. Then emerges a minerality of wonderful freshness and tension.
Testured on the palate there is a creaminess balanced with great tension. With white fruit, spices and chalky notes, this is a white wine of great elegance, able to surprise for depth and drinkability at the same time.
