It all began in 1890. Louis Pugibet, then Maréchal Ferrant, fell in love with a winegrower’s daughter and received the first hectare as a dowry. He soon bought the neighbouring land to develop the estate and baptised it with the name of La Colombette, rue de Toulouse, where he came from.
4th generation winemakers, with the 5th soon to become involve, Domaine la Colombette, is a model of a modern winery. Embracing change, sustainable methods, screwcaps for sealing bottles, organics and resistant grape varietals to combat climate change.
This Grenache Rose is emblematic of the Languedoc. Made with both traditional rose methods, fruit from the younger vines is pressed while the older fruit is crushed with the colour simply bleeding of the skins A delicate and crisp wine with juicy red berries and a sweet strawberry touches, this is a wine for sipping in the sun.
