Julien uses the now rare and smaller berried Pinot Fin a clone of Pinot Noir to produce perfumed and amazingly energetic Bourgogne . He makes the wine using whole clusters from vines planted between 1955 and 1964. The wine is aged for 11 months in old oak casks. The wine is bottled without using SO2. Julien unusually uses nitrogen as the inert gas to protect the bottled wine. Biodynamic certified.
