The iconic Domaine Tempier is a family estate in the Peyraud family since 1834. The estate just outside Bandol is rooted in tradition and Lucien was considered the godfather of Bandol for reviving the reputation on Mourvedre to its former glory. He sadly died in 1996 . The estate is now run by Daniel Ravier who has meticulously maintained the style, tradition and reputation of this great estate.
The grapes are hand harvested, native yeasts used and aged in 50% Stainless steel and 50% cement. It's a blend of 55% Mourvedre, 25% Grenache and 20% Cinsault. For me Rose wine just does not get better.
