Located in the heart of the “Clos des Monts-Luisants”, the vines are separated from the Clos de la Roche by just one metre! It shares many characteristics with its illustrious neighbour, boasting great aromatic complexity and a structured, well-balanced palate. The finish, with its slightly firmer tannins and refreshing acidity, is the main difference to the Grand Cru.
"A bright mid purple, with altogether a much classier nose, with nothing to obfuscate. A mix of different berries, staying on the red side of the register, though slightly darker fruit appears on the palate. Still a very good acidity, but the fruit returns in volume behind. Kicks on impressively. This will need a little time but there is an excellent Cuvée des Alouettes in the making. Drink from 2031-2037."
