Amelie Berthaut inherited the estate from her parents and made her first vintage in 2013. She has been the subject of very positive journalistic attention in recent years. She farms organically and uses about 50% new oak with varying degrees of whole clusters for fermentation.
"Offering up notes of dark berries, orange zest and smoked meats, the 2023 Fixin Village is medium-bodied, supple and lively, with chalky tannins that lend gentle grip to the finish."
- 88/100, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
"Bottled yesterday. A glowing energetic purple, a little blackcurrant leaf reduction, but there is energy behind. Brisk fresh cherries wrapped in a little oak, these may be early days but the 2023 Fixin is very promising. The tannins are fine this year. Drink from 2026-2030"
