Moschomavro is an extremely rare indigenous grape which became almost extinct by the 1970s. Diamantis winery take credit for reviving this grape, which today is named amongst the most exciting emerging varieties in Greece. The grapes come from high altitude vineyards, planted on rocky limestone soils, in the region of Siatista in north-western Macedonia. Winemaking approach is natural: spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtering.
Gorgeous aromas of fresh and candied raspberries, cherries, violets and crushed stones. Medium-bodied, smooth and easy drinking, this is a great option for those who are looking for something a little bit lighter in their reds.
