Ciabot Berton is owned by the Oberto family, whose name has been associated with the region and wine since the 12th Century. However it is only since the 1950's that the family began to bottle there own wine themselves. All their vineyards are in the historic cru of La Morra, on the slope facing the of Alba.
The 2018 La Morra is the perfect expression of power and elegance. There are aromas of violets and roses, with cherry and sweet spice. On the palate there are plum, strawberry and cherry fruits, with sweet spice and liquorice. Ripe fruits, sweet tannins, brilliant freshness and a long persistent mineral finish. A great barolo.
