Burgundy:

Hubert Lamy

The Lamy family have worked in the vineyards of Burgundy since the 1600’s. The Domaine itself was created in 1973 and now boasts 18.5 ha in St Aubin, Puligny and Chassagne. It is run by Olivier Lamy who cut his teeth at Meo Camuzet. His wines are very traditional in style; they are matured in oak casks where only 20-30% of which are new. The wines are reductive in style without the unpleasant struck match character. They are taut and focussed. Jancis Robinson commented that they were’ carefully sculpted and beautifully balanced.’ His wines are light, fresh and focussed. They are not opulent but are flinty with some crunchy fruit character. All are elegant and refined.
