Heimann & Fiai are one of the most respected producers in Hungary. They follow organic principles in the vineyards. The Szekszard region is a very warm region but what defines their wine style is balance and freshness. their use of oak is always supportive and never intrudes . In this they use 1,000 litre used Hungarian oak and it is matured in these for 8 months. It is a sinlge plot wine, the Szivem vineyard where their oldest vines are and they use 30% whole bunch which contributes to the red fruit expression in the wine. The wine has a lovely perfume of violets and red cherry spice.
