Brochet NV 333.f Brut Nature is a vivid snapshot of a young producer who has taken a long family history in Ecueil and reimagined it with a modern, almost artistic eye. Brochet is the 15th generation of growers, yet he arrived at winemaking from graphic design, launching his own label only in 2017. His vineyards lie within a tight four-kilometre circle of sand, chalk, white clay, quartz and silex, including one parcel of pure chalk that shapes the wine's tension.
The 333.f marks a shift in Brochet's approach, with the wine produced solely from the coeur de cuvée, the pure free-run juice. His pressing is long and very gentle, often extended overnight at low pressure, so the separation is more stylistic than hierarchical. The result is a wine of impressive clarity. This edition is 100 per cent Pinot Noir, based on the 2022 harvest with a measure of 2020 reserve wine.
