Since 2017, this wine has often been one of Domaine Ponsot’s smallest cuvées in volume. There is a reason for this: it is produced with young vines from Morey Saint Denis or Gevrey-Chambertin appellations that are reclassified into the lower Bourgogne appellation.
“Made with the younger vines from Morey village, replanted in 2021. An even pretty purple. A light and slightly simple bouquet but pleasing in a fresh red cherry mode, quite high acidity. Some class to the fruit but ultimately a little short of flesh. Drink from 2026”
