The classic red wine from Bandol's greatest producer, the iconic Domaine Tempier. Once called the 'Cuvve Classique', it has been renamed to pay tribute to one of the great romances in the world of wine: Lucienne ‘Lulu’ Tempier, heir to the estate, and Lucien Peyraud, who against much opposition created the Bandol appellation.
An ode to the Mouvedre grape, this is a dense and rustic wine but combined with elegance and finesse. Meaty and fleshy, with dark fruits and dusty tannins, leather and earthy, spicy flavours. A wine that will develop and layer with 5-10 yrs in the bottle.
