The wines of Terre Nere are from slope on the North of Mt Etna, most between 50-100 yrs old and one parcel having survived the phylloxera is 130-140 years old. Varying in elevation from 600-1000m and soils that change even within the individual crus themselves, these are wines that speak to a place.
Made from a mixture of young and old, organic vines, this is an impressively pure wine. Medium in weight, but with firm, tight tannins and beautiful crisp fruit. A real joy to drink.
