And not only are the wines amazing, but Deirdre is a native of Co. Offaly and dontcha know we love a good Irish connection.
This aromatic and graceful wine full of beautiful firm tannin's, is made from an old Piedmontese grape variety, Slarina, which was widely uprooted in favour of the higher-yielding barbera in the early 20th century. Recent research at the University of Turin has led to an increase in plantings of this almost-forgotten variety.
