In 1890 the Pieropan family first made a bottle of Soave and in 1970 the now sadly deceased Nino Pieropan made the first single vineyard wine in the region, Calvarino. The estate is now run by his two sons Andrea and Dario. The estate is also organically farmed. This is a blend of mainly 70% Garganega with 30% Trebbiano di Soave.
Not aged in oak but left to rest on its fine lees for 12 months in cement
