Terre di Pietra is a small winery nestled in the heart of the hilly Valpolicella region, east of Verona. Since their establishment in 2007 they have strived to express their eponymous stony soils through the classic Valpolicella varieties, in as natural a way as possible. This means no chemical interventions in the vineyard or cellar, no new-fangled fads like ripasso, and amarone produced only in the best vintages. These stunning wines show what can be achieved with true passion and dedication.
The 'problem child' is essentially a declassified Valpolicella, but is everything you would expect from that style of wine, smooth round tannins, lots of bright red fruit and a wonderful bright freshness.
