The Donaldson family began winemaking 40 years ago. They farm in North Canterbury is a sustainable fashion on North facing terraces. Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate) awarded the 2017 vintage 94/100 points. Aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak ,they follow Burgundian winemaking methodology and succeed in making an elegant, balanced Pinot that has that all important umami character and structural freshness lacking in so many New World Pinots.
