The Pappaionnou Vineyards are located in hills of Nemea, on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Four generations of knowledge have been passed on down through the family, knowledge that makes them experts in the cultivation of the native Greek varietals.
This wonderful red wine is made from one of Greece's most ancient grape varieties, Agiorgitiko. From 40 year old vines grown on south facing slopes, this is an intensely aromatic wine. Aromas of rich red fruits are followed by hints of aromatic herbs and spices, reminiscent of Rhone garrique. On the palate it has good body and weigh, with velvety tannins, leading to long finish, with a slightly spicy note. A great Greek Wine!!.
