"The 2022 Druida Tinto was produced with 40% Jaen, 30% each Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro from 40-year-old vines on the right bank of the Dão River on granite soils with quartzite and some clay @500m above sea level. It fermented with 50% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and matured in used 228- and 500-liter French oak barrels, 20% of them new, for 20 months. It's characterful, complex and nuanced, intermixing notions of wild berries, fruits and herbs with a faint earthy touch, some spiciness and a floral note. It comes in at a moderate 12.5% alcohol, with a medium-bodied palate and very fine tannins. It's a sleek and elegant Dão."
