The region of Ribeiro is a tiny DOC in Northwest Spain. One of their indigenous grapes is Treixadura and this wine has 95% of the grape with a touch of godello and albarino. It is one of my favourite Spanish varietals due to its capacity to communicate terroir into the wine. This is not dissimilar to a Chablis 1er Cru, taut , chalky minerality with some textural weight and an elegant long finish. Aged in 7 year old oak Foudres the wine maker Luis Anxo Rodriguez Vazquez is credited as one of the finest winemakers in Galicia.
