Reinhard Lowenstein started this estate in 1980. The fruit for this wine is harvested from the very steep slate vineyards overlooking the Mosel river. He uses between 10 and 20% botrytised grapes which have between 24hours to 48hours skin contact and he ages the wine in 1,000 litre old casks. Organic farming, registered with 'Fair and Green'
Stephen Reinhardt of Wine Advocate said the 2019 was 'the most beautiful ,complex and I have tasted from this wine' and gave it 92/100
These are bone dry age-worthy wines .
