This is textural and tight, with springboards of fruit blossom, chalk, pith and zest queued up. This is a wine that needs some time to emerge from itself, but it promises to be a superstar: Grosset has managed to wedge in some restraint and some austerity into the folds of the voluminous Clare fruit.
