Northern Greece, Vangelis is an innovative winemaker working with this indigenous varietal, Malagouzia . He coaxes out a defined mineral backbone with lovely aromatics of peach, hints of elderflower and some tropical fruit. He receives high praise both in reviews from Jancis Robinson and Wine Advocate. He practices an 'Integrated Management System' both in the vineyard and the winery. Vangelis is credited with saving this varietal from virtual extinction. a portion of the wine is aged in used oak which adds a textural weight to the wine.
