In a time of hardship for Alto Adige’s wine producers, Christian Schrott, parish priest of Tramin and later Member of the Austrian Parliament, founded our cooperative in 1898 in order to protect the livelihood and future of the wine producers from this mountain area. Cantina Tramin merged with historic Cantina Sociale di Egna in 1973 and today the co-op consists of 190 families.
This Weissburgunder(or Pinot Bianco), grown in an area of warm sunny days and cool nights, is a fresh and fruity wine, with a full body, elegant structure and an impressively sustained finish.
