Denavolo is an estate created by Giulio Armani in 2005, located on the foothills of the Apennines between 350 and 600 meters above sea level. It takes its name from the mountain overlooking the winery. The vineyards are managed under organic principles and wines are bottled neither fined nor filtered.
The wines are made with local varieties, with the whites being made in the same way as reds, using the whole fruit: pulp and skin. All fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeast. The duration of the skin maceration varies according to the wine.
Made using equal parts Malavasia di Candia Aromatica, Marsanne, Ortrugo and an as yet unidentified grape, this is a textured wine, with apricot, apple and orange blosom aromas and flavours with a touch of spice. Beautifully balanced and complex.
Natural wine.
