Agustí Torelló Matá is a family company producing distinguished reserva and gran reserva cavas in the Penedès region. Founded in 1950 by Agustí Torelló, the winery is committed to using only Spanish varieties macabeo, xarel·lo and parellada from vineyards in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the capital of Cava and the heart of the Penedès region. All vineyards are worked organically, and this practice continues into the winery. Mostly known for its Cava, the estate also produces organic still wines from the local varieties under the DO Penedès appellation.
XIC is dry, light and bright, with loads of citrus, lime and green apples flavour, and a touch of yeasty lees.
