Join us from 6:30pm on Wednesday the 4th of March 2026, for a tasting of the wines of Burgundy's somewhat forgotten, but not really, region Beaujolais!! Hosted by Mari Sanaia
Tucked at the southern end of Burgundy, between the towns of Macon and Lyon, Beaujolais is the not quite hidden gem of French winemaking. Variously thought as being and not being part of Burgundy, depending on your prejudices, the Vigernons of Beaujolais are making some of the best, most terroir driven wines in the world today. Mostly red wines based on the Gamay grape but also some exceptional whites made with Chardonnay, but also though less seen Aligote. The wines come in all styles, from the lighter, fresher and more fruit forward Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages, to the more serious and complex styles made in the any of the 10 Cru Beaujolais sites.
This is a brilliant opportunity to explore the depth and breadth of wines from this wonderful region of France.
