Volnay , a commune in the Côte du Beaune for red wine, is renowned for wines of a delicate , aromatic style. Feminine wines . Patrick Landanger acquired the estate in 1997 which comprises 18ha of mostly Premier and Grand Cru sites. On average 90,000 bottles are made each tear. Of his Volnay wines my favourite are from his 60 Ouvrées 1er Cru parcel , which is a Monopole ( all of the wine produced in this 1er Cru site belongs to one estate).
