“Terre Nere’s wines all possessed unbelievable freshness and complexity as well as huge perfumes that suggested Pinot Noir…These wines are astonishingly complex and ethereal efforts from the hillsides of Mt. Etna in Sicily.” – Robert Parker
The wines of Terre Nere are from slope on the North of Mt Etna, most between 50-100 yrs old and one parcel having survived the phylloxera is 130-140 years old. Varying in elevation from 600-1000m and soils that change even within the individual crus themselves, these are wines that speak to a place. Using five native varietals.
This white wine is a blend of native grapes once used to blend into the local red wines. Wanting to create a white wine in and of itself this was first produced in 2005. A deliciously drinkable wine, that shows all the minerality and complexity of the red wines that Tenuta delle Terre Nere produce.
