Suertes del Marqués is a family-run winery that started to make wines in 2006, although twenty years before that, they already sold their grapes to another winery. The winery is located in the north of the island of Tenerife, specifically in Valle de La Orotava, and in the municipality with the same name. The century-old, ungrafted vines of Listán Negro and Listán Blanco prevail in most of their vineyards. Some of them are cultivated with the traditional braided cord system, a training system that is unique in the world. The Listán varieties coexist with other young and old vines of native varieties.
Vidonia is made with ungrafted Listan Blanco from three different sites. Its is a wine that speaks to where it is grown, full of intense minerality, beautiful texture on the palate and wonderfully balanced on the finish.
