The Forcalla grape was largely grubbed up in Valencia and replaced with Monastrell (Mourvedre). However Rafael Cambra has preserved a small area of this drought resistant varietal which produces lower alcohol wines with a floral aromatic character. He farms the vineyards, which are 700 metres high organically with minimal intervention. The wine is aged in old oak barrels for 8 months
