Located on the Eastern slopes of the Appenines where they slope down to the sea, La Marche di San Michele has 9 hectares of vineyards planted on an ancient limestone seabed. This is the birthplace for Verdicchio with wine production dating back to at least the 12th Century. In the capable hands of Alessandro Bonci along with his partner Daniela Quaresima until her untimely passing in 2024, the grape reveals its potential as one of the great white wines of Italy. We like to believe that Dani’s spirit lives on through their wines and that her influence is still ever present in the winemaking.
This is 100% Montepulciano, with low extraction this wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks to help maintain freshness and brightness in the wine. Beautiful soft round fruits define this wine, with an intensity building on the palate as it develops.
