Henriques & Henriques was founded on the island of Madeira in 1850 by Joao Joaquim Henriques, initiating the start of a rich history and a profound knowledge of the art of making Madeira. Currently under the leadership of Master Blender, Humberto Jardím, it is the only House to have consistently owned vineyards in Madeira, allowing them to control every aspect of the production process. They were the first producer to construct a purpose-built winery on the island and are innovative in both product development and design.
This Sercial is in the firm, polished style of the house: full, deep and suave, with the balance and concentration for which Henriques & Henriques is known. Well-calibrated acidity, mineral, saline and wood elements from the bold savor of dried apricot, lemon zest and spiced almond in route to a long, tapered finish.
