This is a blend from two Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay and Bouzy, and is crafted predominantly from Pinot Noir (84%). As with all Marguet wines, SO2 levels are kept deliberately low, and so the wine has a rich colour with a hint of gold. The bouquet is very expressive, focused more on spice than fruit, and even offers a hint of ginger. Pinot Noir gives the wine real backbone; there’s an intense, vivid character which is just very expressive and individual.
