Marc Isart who was one of the founding members of the 'Comando G' group stepped out and back to his home town of Chinchon outside Madrid. Marc has worked with biodynamics and was keen to work in the truly traditional way with old vine Garnacha from Gredos and vinifies the wine in Chinchon.
The Garnacha is harvested from vineyards high in the Sierra de Gredos mountains near Avila.Organic viticulture
"The super-pale red 2024 Rompecepas Garnacha could very well be a darker rosé fermented and matured in tinaja and used 500-liter barrels. It also has the serious, austere and mineral nose like the whites and the rosé that I liked very much. It's stony and tasty with a tender, fine-grained texture and a serious, dry finish. It has a moderate 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.18 and 6.35 grams of acidity. 1,300 bottles produced. "
