Join us from 6:30pm on Wednesday the 8th of May, for a tasting of the wines from one of the most ancient producing regions, Greece, Hosted by Jennifer Thompson.
With a wine-making tradition stretching back to approximately 4000B.C, it's safe to say that Greek wine-makers know a thing or two about wine. Greece boasts over 100 PDO and PDI's for the classification of wine, boasting some of the world's oldest vineyards. Comprising a myriad of micro-climates, terroir, elevations and ancient grape varietals like Assytriko, Xinomavro, Moschofilero and others, winemakers from the northern reaches of the country to the islands of the Mediterranean are able to may wines of brilliant authentication , that express a place and vision of the locality.
Having been overtaken by other countries and regions in terms of appeal and popularity, Greece and Greek wines are once more primed to become household names.
