My note when I first tasted the wines of Cesar Fernandez Diaz was 'elegant-Burgundian'. It seems that his goal is to achieve delicacy in his wines. Cesar worked in the Gredos mountains and spent time with the team at Comando G. This vines are in the Ribera del Duero region but because the blend is Tempranillo, Bobal, Albillo, Bastardo Garnacha and others , the wine cannot carry the DO. He farms organically and follows many Biodynamic principles. The vines are traced back to the early 1900's and some are pre-phylloxera. He only has 1.5 h/a. He made 746 bottles .
