Olivier is from Cognac in France and originally wanted to make wine in Fitou but opted for Rioja. He is a perfectionist and is constantly driven by achieving better results each vintage. He is focussed on producing as natural a product as possible and is influenced by Biodynamic principles . His wines are organic. Luis Gutierrez said of the 2014 vintage ' I almost fell off my chair when I smelled the 2014 Ganko'. It is a blend of 50% Garnacha and 50% Mazuelo from vines planted in sandy soil at high altitude. These are a fresh style of Rioja aged for 16/18 months in Foudre and French oak barrel.
