Quinta Milu is a small personal project of German Blanco in the province of Burgos. German is meticulous in his selection of vineyards sites with old vines and micromanages each cuvee to ensure that the wines are not over powered by the process. The resulting wines have energy and freshness so seldom made in this region. The vines for this wine are over 100 years old, grown at nearly 1,000 metres on sandy soils. Wild yeasts are used to ferment the wine which is aged in used French oak. He doesn't filter and uses very low SO2 additions at bottling. These are very elegant wines.
