Mersel LebNat Gold 2022 is a gorgeous natural sparkling white wine from Mersel Wines, based in Maksar Mersel, the highest winegrowing region of Lebanon. Their philosophy is to keep winemaking quite simple and stick to their centuries-long traditions. Mersel produces natural wines with little or no sulfites. The vineyards are farmed organically and the wines are usually unfined and unfiltered to preserve the terroir and grape expression.
Mersel LebNat Gold 2022 is made of 50% indigenous Merwah variety and 50% Viognier. The grapes come from organic vineyards situated on 1900 meters above the sea level. After a gentle press the grape juice starts fermentation in low temperatures for about 20 days. It is then bottled and continues the fermentation in the bottle and rests on lees for 5 months.
