Julien Guillot's family has worked this land since the end of the Second World War, when his Grandfather arrived. Having been unwell, his Grandfather couldn’t drink wine with sulphites. So, he set out to make wines without chemicals, no chaptalisation, made with natural yeasts. Since 2001 the world of wine has changed sufficiently for Julien’s wines to no longer be scornfully branded a-typique. Making wines of real character Vignes Du Maynes are really worth trying as you will be gifted with joyful and expressive wines.
'Selection Massale' is made from Gamay grapes grown in the Maconnais region, picked by hand and fermented in stainless steel tanks to keep those fresh fruity flavours. It's an easy-drinking wine, perfect for casual sipping and pairs well with a variety of foods such as grilled meats or cheese.
