Enric Soler produces only 12,000 bottles from 3.4 hectares of vineyards. His wines are among the finest still whites from Penedès, and the Nun Vinya dels Taus, Xarel.lo from a vineyard planted in 1945 is truly remarkable. The bottles are sold as varietal wines without appellation of origin.
"The 2022 Nun Vinya Dels Taus was cropped from a warm and dry year with some heat waves during the summer, and the wine has muscle and a little more power but balanced with great freshness and acidity. It's very expressive, varietal and clean with very good oak that is noticeable but not intrusive. It's a neat and elegant wine, nicely crafted. The vines, planted in 1945, are farmed organically and biodynamically, but the bottle wears no certification. The wine has 13% alcohol, keeping a pH of 3.0 and 6.9 grams of acidity. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in 300-liter French oak barrels, 35% of them new, where the wine matured for eight to 10 months. " - 95/100pts, Luis Gutierrez, The Wine Advocate
