Rene's son Pierre now runs the wine making in this prestigious estate. The wines are best described as traditional. Pierre uses 100% stems which he feels adds to the perfume, maceration is for between 7-20 days and uses only a very small percentage of new oak (15%) in his long slow elevage.
Joe Czerwinski of Wine Advocate awarded it 92/100 and suggested 2018-2030 for drinking.
These are classic Cote-Rotie and really age-worthy wines. Syrah.
