The Dalamara Vineyard lies in the historic region of Naoussa Macedonia and is associated
with aromatic, age worthy Xinomavro. At the helm is Kostis Dalamaras, a talented sixthgeneration winemaker. The vineyard is organically farmed and follows biodynamic practices. Everything in Dalamara aims at capturing the terroir expression with minimal intervention and fine tunings in the cellar. Using spontaneous fermentation, reduced sulphites and no filtering process, they have produced wines that preserve maximum complexity and all the characteristics of the terroir.
Whole bunches are hand harvested from a single vineyard at an altitude of 250-350m. After a gentle pressing and maceration time, the fermentation takes part with native yeasts. Without filtration the wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months.
A dry wine, with ripe firm tannins and a silky palate, there are aromas and flavours of red cherry, wild straw and raspberries, with hints of black olive and a herby garrigue.
