From the village of Puisseguin near St Emilion, the Amoreau family, who have been growing vines naturally since 1610, farm biodynamically using 20% Merlot and 80% Cabernet Franc. 2016 is a real favourite of mine. Fruit ripened evenly and retained the structural acidity. This is bright, with black cherry, bell pepper and savoury notes, spice, old wood and leather. This has a lifted energy and great ageing capacity. There is a juiciness that I love in this elegant wine. In a word.......delicious. Only 1,500 bottles made.
