Cave de Lugny is a major Co-Operative in the Macon and Southern Burgundy. Founded with 116 growers. their numbers are no over 400 and they farm 1500 hectares of vines sustainably.
This white wine is sourced from vineyards around the village of Lugny, where the Cave has a major presence, allowing them to maintain the highest standards of sustainable farming. It is a tribute to Eugene Blanc, founder and president of Cave de Lugny till 1959.
The grapes are gently pressed, with fermentation occurring in stainless steel vats. The wines are then aged for a minimum of 6 month on their lees with full malolatic fermentation occurring. The result is a rich but balanced wine. Aromas of white flowers and dried fruits abound, with a slightly spicy finish on the palate
