The Albamar winery is known for its expertise and work with the Albariño grape, which is the wineries speciality. The winery dates back 25 years and is home to a close-knit and friendly family spirit. Current winemaker Xurxo Alba Padin took over the running the family vineyard in 2006 after completely him oenology studies, and started creating these powerful, elegant and mineral driven Albarino wines. These are 'natural' wines, made with the minimum of intervention and using only indigenous yeasts.
A complex albarino, with a salty mineral tang that shows the winery and vines location beside the Atlantic Ocean. Great texture and citrus fruit flavours complement the minerality and last long on the palate.
This is the best vintage of Albamar that I have tasted.
