The 'Sursis' plot was purchased in 2007 and is situated in the Chateau Chalon appellation, more noted for the Savagnin grape, and it is made from the last of the old Chardonnay stocks there. 'Sursis' means 'on parole' and Stephane will continue to make the wine as long as the vines give him grapes.
